Tattoo Aftercare
The Crawling Panther Tattoos Aftercare Required/Recommended Tools:
• Unscented Lotion
• Dial Gold soap or other unscented antibacterial soap
• Aquaphor (optional)
Instructions:
1. Always keep area clean and sterile.
2. Saniderm and other medical grade bandages are water resistant (and will allow showering normally) but are not waterproof. DO NOT soak or submerge the tattooed area or bandage in a tub, pool, lake, river, ocean, or creek.
3. Remove Saniderm after 2-5 days.
4. To remove Saniderm, carefully peel back by an edge and carefully continue to pull away from the body as you would with a command strip. DO NOT rip Saniderm directly off as you would a Band-Aid (warm water and antibacterial soap will loosen adhesive).
5. After removing Saniderm wash tattoo thoroughly with unscented antibacterial soap and clean hands (do not use a washcloth). Pat dry with clean towel/new paper towel.
6. Wash area thoroughly 2-3 times daily (or as needed) for approximately two weeks after removal of medical grade bandage.
7. With clean hands apply a very thin layer of Aquaphor (normally used for the first few days after bandage removal before switching to unscented lotion) or unscented lotion to keep the tattoo moisturized (an excess of ointment or lotion can clog pores, so a light amount is preferred).
8. Keep tattoo out of direct sunlight for 4-6 weeks to the best of your ability, after fully healed sunscreen atop the tattoo will be recommended for longevity.
9. Please do not pick at and/or scratch your new tattoo as heals.
